Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and LOOK INSIDE MEDITATIONS LTD ("we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of Look Inside:

(together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use the Services. You need an account (Sign in with Apple, Google or e-mail and password) to save your check-ins and journal. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for everything done through it. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone else has accessed it.

3. What Look Inside is

Look Inside offers meditation, breathing exercises, yoga, sleep content and tools to check in with and keep a journal of your emotions, with practices suggested for how you feel.

Look Inside is not medical care. It is designed for general wellbeing and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, psychologist or other qualified professional. If you have a physical or mental-health condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether an exercise is right for you, talk to a professional before you start, and stop any practice that causes pain or discomfort.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, do not rely on the app: contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately (in the UK, call 999 or Samaritans on 116 123; in the US, call or text 988).

4. Subscriptions, payments and cancellation

Some features of Look Inside are available only with a paid subscription. The price, the billing period and any trial are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. If your plan starts with a free or discounted trial, it converts into a paid subscription at the price shown unless you cancel before the trial ends. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Bought in the iOS app. The purchase is made through Apple and is charged to your Apple ID. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Bought on the web. The payment is processed by Stripe. To cancel, write to [email protected] from the e-mail address you used for the purchase, or use the cancellation link in your payment receipt where it is offered, and we will cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Deleting your data or closing the browser does not cancel the subscription.

5. Refunds

Web purchases. You can request a refund within 30 days after a payment (the first payment or any renewal). Write to [email protected] from the e-mail address you used for the purchase. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank; access to paid features for the refunded period ends when the refund is issued.

Cooling-off rights. If you live in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you may cancel a web purchase within 14 days of buying it and receive a full refund, without giving a reason. If you live in California or Connecticut, you may cancel before midnight of the third business day after the purchase for a full refund.

Purchases made in the iOS app are refunded by Apple under Apple's rules, not by us; you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If we receive a refund request, we may give the platform or payment provider through which the purchase was made (for example, Apple or Stripe) information about your purchase and use of the Services, such as how long you have used them, whether a trial was included, and the amounts paid and refunded. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the consumer-protection laws of the country where you live.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Services unlawfully or to harm anyone; try to access other users' data or our systems without permission; reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Services; resell or redistribute the Services or their content; or circumvent payment, usage limits or security features.

7. Our content and your licence

The Services and their content, including text, graphics, audio, video, logos and software, belong to LOOK INSIDE MEDITATIONS LTD or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your own non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms. If you use the iOS app, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these Terms prevail where they differ to the extent allowed. Content you enter into the Services remains yours; you give us the permission we need to store and process it to provide the Services to you.

8. Important disclaimers

Practices are performed at your own risk and within your own limits. Suggestions in the app are general and based on what you tell it; they are not personal medical or psychological advice.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid feature during a period you have paid for, we will offer a pro-rata refund.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Services, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the Services at any time; to end a subscription, cancel it as described above. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we must do so by law. The sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and liability) continue to apply.

11. Third-party services

The Services rely on or link to services we do not control — for example Apple, Google and the App Store. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page; if the changes are significant, we will also tell you in the Services or by e-mail where we can. The version on this page is always the current one.
